Reference material is a sufficiently homogeneous and stable with respect to one or more specified properties, which has been established to be fit for its intended use in a measurement process. It is indispensable in measurement device calibration, assessing and measuring analysis approach, measuring the characteristic value of substances or materials, assessing the operation skills of analyst as well as the quality control in production process.

    In the project, precision equipment like LC-MS/MS、ICP-MS and preparative liquid chromatograph are used to study the synthesis, purification, impurity analysis/separation, precise quantification and quality control. It has built an advanced reference material preparation plant and gained the capability of preparing over 10000 kinds of reference materials for different application scenarios including: industrial inspection, pesticide residue detection, veterinary drug residue detection, food detection and environmental detection. Natural extracts is also one of the products.

    As the policy has become open for inspection qualification, basic inspection cases have transferred to third party inspection laboratories, who has gained rapid development. The demands for reference material have increased sharply due to its importance in these laboratories. At the moment, the number of qualified inspection laboratories has passed 30000 while there are only 5 qualified reference material manufacturers. The reference materials developed and prepared in the project suits the demand of the market, assisting and providing more options for the inspection industry. Moreover, these reference material will also be used in different organizations like universities, academy of sciences, research institute and all kind of manufacture businesses who need quality control.
