Institute of Smart Agriculture (ISA), GIIT was co-established by GIIT, Guangxi Zhongke Xigang Bio-technology and Guangxi Tianlifeng Technology. Its purpose is to explore new cooperation model with leading enterprises in agriculture, and to build an integrated chain to suit the demands of the development of agriculture which include technology service, demonstration base construction and commercialization of research achievements. ISA is supported by the bio-technology of Chinese Academy of Science as well as the technology and commercialization of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Science. Based on new crop variety, new agricultural technology, IoT and big data, ISA’s objectives are: to combine plating and breeding, to create smart bio-technological agricultural system, to build AI data model of agricultural products, to promote the co-building and sharing of the big data of agricultural product, to build whole industry chain system which covers microbial planting, breeding, crude and intensive process and forms a closed ecological circulation, to construct the standard systems for production, harvest and cold-chain logistics of bulk agricultural product, following the idea of producing according to sales. With these efforts, we can build a industry pattern which is has standardized production and management for bulk agricultural products in Guangxi.

    ISA openly embrace experts and professors in related field from universities and research institutes, seeking to build an expert bank of over 100 members who will provide technology and intelligence support for projects like characteristic towns, rural complex, rural industrial integration development demonstration parks, national modern agricultural industrial parks, county rural e-commerce and “beautiful countryside”. Gathering the up-stream and down-stream enterprises in agricultural industry, ISA has organized several industry alliances for the objectives such as involving in niche fields of smart agriculture, connecting industrial up-stream and downs-stream, achieving integrated innovation and crossover collaboration, effectively aiding the landing of the application of smart agricultural technology.
