Guangxi Institute of Science and Technology Development (GISTD), formerly known as China Academy of Science and Technology Development Guangxi Branch, was established in November 1994. It specializes in technology intermediation and development services, focusing on the research, integration, and promotion of common key technologies for regional industries. The academy actively facilitates industry-academia-research collaboration and promotes the transformation of scientific achievements into productive forces.

The academy currently employs 47 staff members, including 4 with professor-level senior titles and 9 with associate senior titles, with mid-to-senior level professionals accounting for 74.5% of the workforce. Among them, 5 hold doctoral degrees and 18 hold master's degrees. The team includes distinguished experts such as:

• 1      recipient of Guangxi Outstanding Expert Award;

• 1      selected for the second tier of Guangxi's "New Century      Ten-Hundred-Thousand Talent Project";

·               2 selected for the first tier of Nanning's "New Century Academic and Technical Leaders".

Additionally, the academy has:

• 1      recipient of Guangxi Youth Science & Technology Award

• 2      visiting scholars under the "Western Light" program

• 4      master's degree supervisors.

In terms of innovation platforms, GXASTD has established:

• Guangxi      Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base;

• National      Technology Transfer Demonstration Institution;

• Guangxi Technology Transfer Demonstration Institution

These platforms aim to address the innovation needs of technology enterprises, integrate resources, accelerate technology transfer, and cultivate talent. The academy also co-established 3 provincial-level engineering technology research centers and innovation centers with universities and enterprises .

• Projects: 7      national-level R&D projects (including 1 "863 Program"      project, 2 national science and technology support projects, and 4 NDRC      projects) and over 20 provincial-level projects.

• Awards: 27      ministerial/provincial science and technology awards, including:

• 1       Guangxi Special Contribution Award;

• 6       Guangxi Science & Technology Second Prizes;

• 14       Third Prizes;

• 6       national industry awards.

• IP Output: 11      authorized invention patents, 2 software copyrights, and over 200      published papers (including 20 indexed in SCI/EI).
