High-strength high-conductive copper alloy material is the key material of telectronics and electrical industry, widely used in the manufacture of high-end products including high-speed electric locomotive overhead conductors, rotor conductors of large high-speed turbine generator, medical wires, military electromagnetic equipment (catapults), aerospace wire, integrated circuits and flexible printed circuits, etc. This kind of materials are also significant in the manufacture of integrated circuit lead frames, contact wire of electrified railway, resistance welding electrodes, thermonuclear fusion experimental reactor (ITER) diverter vertical target heat sinks and other devices.
Innovative Highlights:
1. Combining the mode directional solidification continuous casting technology in the single crystal metal preparation, our institute developed the first single crystal directional solidification continuous caster; and successfully produced belt-shape copper material which is high-orientating, dense, homogenous and defect-less, filling in the technological blank in the domestic alloy copper manufacturing.
2. By a device linking the gradient temperature of modularized open crystallizer with the crystal fixture, and a shaper which is equipped with electromagnetic stirring and multi-electromagnetic fields, and with directing mechanism and solidification pressure head coordinating each other, we prepared a high-orientating copper alloy cast which is homogenous, smooth and defect-less.
