Xi Jinping announced at the 75th UN Assembly that China will scale up its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions by adopting more vigorous policies and measures. We aim to have CO2 emissions peak before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. To achieve this goal, a specialized team from Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Application, GIIT proactively participated in the basic data collection, which was quickly implemented in Guangxi, monitoring power consumption of key energy-consuming enterprises online and real-time.

Applying multiple technologies, the team formed a well-established solution for the enterprise terminal of the online energy consumption system, effectively aided the implement. In the process, the application of AI based Pervasive Computing Operating Systems (APCOS) solved the difficulty in to data collection caused by different communication protocols of the metering terminals, successfully lowered the cost and pause of production due to the replacement of metering terminals. 4G and 5G communication technology facilitated the connection between collection and back-end system, eliminating the problems brought by the difficulties of connecting cords to the production site. Infrared contactless collection of data fits the safety protocols for collecting data from electricity meters. With tailor-made device of dual-homed host, the safety isolation between intranet and the internet has been achieved, gaining positive feedbacks from the businesses.

In the next stage, the team is going to promote the application of SD-WAN VPN, cloud computing and big data for an intensive solution looking at the autonomous region as a whole. We shall make our contribution to the carbon neutrality in Guangxi by aiding the monitoring of energy consumption, lowering cost and upgrading energy consumption management of enterprises.
