President of CAE, Li Xiaohong and academicians’ delegation visited GIIT for research and study

In the morning on September 18th, Li Xiaohong, Academician and President of China Academy of Engineering (CAE), He Huawu, Academician and Vice-president of CAE visited Guangxi Institute of Industrial Technology （GIIT） for study and research, along with academician representatives including Kang Shaozhong, Zheng Jielian, Hou Baorong, Wang Guodong, Song Bao’an (President and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Guizhou University), Bao Zhenmin, Liu Liang and Liushaojun, joined by Fei Zhirong, Vice-governor of Guangxi and Chairman of Council of GIIT and Cao Kunhua, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Director General of Guangxi Science and Technology Department and Party Committee Secretary of GIIT.

The delegation visited the innovation exhibition hall and learnt about the regime, restructure, function orientation, objectives, professional instate layout, history and achievement of GIIT, recognizing and applauding the fast development. Later, visit was paid to Institute of New Functional Materials, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Application, Institute of Biomanufacturing Technology and Institute of Space-time Information Technology. Work done in professional personnel cultivation, commercialization of scientific and research findings and mode of development were introduced in detail. In addition to speaking highly of GIIT’s achievements, the delegation offered valuable suggestions on research direction and collaboration.
